Game Overview

Ever played a game where you're a tiny knight trapped in a maze full of cats? That's Castle of Mew in a nutshell—this weird little MS-DOS relic feels like someone crossed Pac-Man with a fever dream about feline overlords. You dodge these pixelated cats (some wear little hats, which I appreciate), grab keys, and try not to get cornered in the castle's twisty corridors.

The first time I played, I got wrecked immediately because I didn’t realize some cats move faster than others. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about memorizing their patterns and slipping past them at the last second. The chiptune soundtrack loops in a way that’s either hypnotic or maddening—I haven’t decided which.

It’s not deep, but it’s the kind of game you boot up when you want something simple, punishing, and slightly absurd. Just don’t blame me when you start humming the music hours later.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
