I picked up Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian for the Nintendo DS back in 2008, a time when licensed movie games were everywhere. Disney Interactive Studios published it, and it was one of those titles that felt right at home on the handheld, offering a condensed adventure you could take anywhere. It wasn't trying to be the biggest game of the year, just a solid companion to the film.

You control the four Pevensie siblings and Prince Caspian across a series of linear levels, using simple sword combos and occasional magic to fight Telmarine soldiers. The main goal is to unite the Narnian creatures and overthrow Miraz, which involves a lot of screen-by-screen exploration, light puzzle solving (like rotating bridges to progress), and recruiting allies such as badgers to join your cause in battle. The pacing is straightforward, and the difficulty stays manageable, though some puzzles do require a moment to figure out. It feels like a comfortable, old-school action adventure that doesn't overstay its welcome.
