Cool Croc Twins came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Arcadia Systems. It was one of those side-scrolling platformers that felt right at home on a DOS machine, sitting alongside other colorful, slightly janky action games of the era. You picked one of two crocodile brothers, Funk or Punk, and set off to rescue your sister from some generic villain.
You control your chosen croc through a series of single-screen levels, jumping over pits and enemies while trying to reach the exit. The main objective is straightforward: get to the end of each stage without dying. Signature mechanics include a somewhat floaty jump that takes getting used to, and a tail slap attack to defeat enemies. The pacing is quick, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly due to awkward collision detection and timing. It feels like a game that never quite polished its rough edges, but there's a strange charm in pushing through its frustrations.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
