You play as Frank Harris, a detective who gets pulled into the animated Cool World. The main goal is to stop Holli Would from crossing over into the real world. You move screen by screen, jumping across platforms, using a limited punch attack against enemies, and occasionally switching to a first-person perspective for shooting sections. The pacing is uneven, with some frustrating platforming segments and a general lack of polish. Playing it feels like navigating a weird, half-finished dream that somehow keeps you curious about what odd thing happens next.
