Game Overview

Cosmo Genesis: Star Voyager is one of those NES space shooters that starts simple—just you, a tiny ship, and a massive enemy fleet—but gets wild fast. You’re guarding this giant refugee ship, the CosmoStation Noah, while dodging attacks from the Molok Wardrivers. At first, it’s all about blasting enemies, but then you realize you can zip off to different planets to scavenge upgrades or hit space stations for repairs. Just don’t wander into that black hole—trust me, it’s a one-way trip.

The cool part? You’re constantly juggling fuel, life support, and whether to risk a detour for better weapons. I lost my first run because I got greedy hunting upgrades and ran out of fuel halfway back. The planets all have their own vibe, and some hide nasty surprises if you’re not careful. Win or lose, it’s the kind of game where every failure feels like your own dumb fault—in a good way.

If you like tense, strategic space shooters where one wrong move screws you over six ways, this one’s a blast. Just maybe keep a notepad handy for mapping planets.
