Play Cyberchess Online
You move chess pieces along glowing grid lines, feeling like you're hacking a mainframe instead of playing a board game—same old chess rules, just drenched in neon.

Game Overview
Cyberchess is this weird little MS-DOS gem that takes regular chess and slaps a neon Tron aesthetic on it. The board looks like something out of an 80s cyberpunk flick—glowing grid lines, pieces that look like they’re made of pure energy. At first glance, it seems like they changed the rules because the pieces sit on the intersections instead of squares, but nope, it plays exactly like normal chess once you get past the visual trickery.
I remember booting it up and thinking, "Wait, how do bishops move now?" before realizing it’s all just smoke and mirrors. The real charm is in how absurdly committed it is to the theme—every move feels like you’re hacking some corporate mainframe instead of playing a board game. If you dig retro aesthetics or just want chess with extra synthwave vibes, this one’s a trip.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
