So Cybernoid throws you into this retro NES spaceship battle where three asteroid hideouts are packed with stolen gems—and of course, it's your job to blast through waves of Zoggians to get them back. Your ship, the Cybernoid, starts with basic lasers and missiles, but you'll scavenge wilder weapons as you go. The first time I played, I got wrecked immediately because I didn't realize each room has a ticking time bomb—linger too long, and boom. You get nine lives to start, but honestly, you'll burn through a few just figuring out the rhythm of dodging and shooting. The difficulty spikes hard if you pick lethal mode (I learned that the hard way), and there's this weird audio option where you can ditch the music for beefier sound effects. It's one of those games where memorizing enemy patterns is half the battle.
