Remember Dig Dug on NES? You're this little guy with a shovel, tunneling through dirt while these two annoying monsters—Pooka and Fygar—chase you nonstop. Your only defense is this weird air pump that lets you inflate them like balloons until they pop (though if you stop pumping, they just deflate and come back angrier).

There's something oddly satisfying about luring them under those big rocks and dropping them—instant squish. But if you hide too long, they turn into ghosts and start phasing through walls, which is terrifying because suddenly they can't be killed. Oh, and random vegetables pop up in the middle of the stage for bonus points, because... well, I guess even underground miners need their greens.
