Diva Starz: Mall Mania is one of those weirdly charming Game Boy Color games that somehow makes running errands fun. You play as one of four fashion-obsessed girls (Alexa, Nikki, Tia, or Summer) trying to prep for a big show, but of course everything turns into a minigame.

You’ll dodge traffic on a scooter, sort clothes flying at you on a conveyor belt (way harder than it sounds), and even play a stripped-down DDR clone where you tap buttons to the beat. The ice cream stacking game is oddly satisfying—you’ve got to build sundaes in the right order before they melt. And yeah, there’s a pet-catching maze because why not?

It’s all very early 2000s, from the chunky pixel art to the over-the-top “diva” personalities. Not gonna lie, the fashion dress-up part is weirdly addictive once you start mixing and matching outfits. The whole thing feels like someone took a Saturday morning cartoon and turned it into a game.
