Play Doppy & Pru's Summer Holiday Online

You guide two little blobs around a pixelated beach resort, clicking on umbrellas and solving goofy puzzles between naps and volleyball. The fishing minigame’s frustrating, but collecting shells to that chirpy soundtrack just hits right.

Game Overview

I picked up Doppy & Pru's Summer Holiday from a 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a simple title from the early '90s that captures that era's charm. It was developed by a small team whose name escapes me now, but it fits right in with the kind of lighthearted, experimental games you'd find on floppy disks back then.

You control both Doppy and Pru, two round characters, guiding them across a series of static screens at a seaside resort. The main goal is to gather items, solve environmental puzzles, and complete small tasks like setting up a picnic or finding a lost toy. Signature mechanics include screen by screen exploration, clicking on objects to interact, and a fishing minigame that requires precise timing. The pacing is relaxed, though some puzzles can be obscure, and the difficulty comes more from figuring out what to do next than from any real challenge. Playing it feels like a lazy afternoon where even small accomplishments bring a quiet smile.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
