Play Double Dragon II: The Revenge on Msdos Online
Team up as Billy or Jimmy Lee, punch and kick your way through waves of enemies, grab weapons, and avenge Marian in this classic side-scrolling beat 'em up from 1989.
Double Dragon II: The Revenge came out in 1989 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Technos Japan. It was a time when side-scrolling beat 'em ups were finding their footing on home computers, and this one stood out for its straightforward, no-frills approach to co-op action. You and a friend could team up without much fuss, which was a big part of its appeal back then.
You control either Billy or Jimmy Lee, martial artists out to avenge the death of Marian. The game moves screen by screen, each packed with enemies you need to punch, kick, or throw into the background. Signature moves include the spinning cyclone kick and grabbing weapons like knives or pipes dropped by defeated foes. The pacing is relentless; enemies swarm quickly, and the difficulty spikes hard in later stages. It feels raw and immediate, like you're constantly fighting for space and timing every move just to survive another few seconds.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
