Game Overview

Dragonball Z - Collectable Card Game on GBA is exactly what it sounds like—a stripped-down, portable version of the DBZ card battles. The first few matches feel slow as you figure out the rock-paper-scissors style combat, but once you start unlocking rarer cards like Super Saiyan Goku or Perfect Cell, the fights get more interesting.

I remember grinding early battles just to get enough points for a decent booster pack, only to pull another Yamcha. The pixel art for the cards is surprisingly detailed though, especially when a big attack animation kicks in. It’s not deep, but if you just want quick DBZ card duels on the go, it does the job.

The AI can be predictable after a while, but there’s something satisfying about finally building a deck that steamrolls the later opponents. Dragonball Z - Collectable Card Game won’t blow your mind, but it’s a decent time-waster for fans of the series.
