You pick a character like Goku or Vegeta and fight one on one across a series of stages. The main goal is to drain your opponent's health bar before they drain yours. The signature mechanics are all about building up a power meter to unleash screen filling super attacks, like the Kamehameha wave, and timing quick button taps to clash with incoming beams. Matches are fast and aggressive, pushing you to be on the offensive almost constantly. It feels like you're directing a small, explosive piece of the anime.
