Game Overview

Dun Quest is one of those weird, kinda clunky SNES dungeon crawlers that somehow gets its hooks into you. You're thrown straight into this massive castle with first-person turn-based battles—no hand-holding, just figuring out how to survive as you go. The combat's slow but tense, especially when you're low on potions and hear that enemy encounter sound.

At first I thought the maze-like floors were annoying, but there's something satisfying about mapping them out bit by bit. The monster designs are surprisingly detailed for an SNES game, even if some of them look like they escaped from a 90s anime fever dream. Just don't expect much story—it's mostly about grinding through floors and hoping your party doesn't get wiped by some random overpowered enemy.

If you've got patience for old-school dungeon crawlers, this one's a neat deep cut. Otherwise, maybe stick to something more forgiving.
