Game Overview

Earthworm Jim on GBA is just as weird and wonderful as you remember. You start as a regular worm minding your own business—until a ridiculous high-tech spacesuit literally falls from the sky and turns you into a gun-toting, head-whipping action hero. The suit’s head acts like a weird stretchy appendage, letting you swing from hooks, helicopter spin to slow your fall, or just smack enemies with it like a wet noodle.

It’s classic 2D platforming with a twist: one minute you’re bouncing on cows in a junkyard, the next you’re racing through space dodging asteroids. Some levels throw curveballs, like babysitting a helpless character (good luck keeping them alive) or a bungee jump challenge where timing is everything. The whole thing feels like a Saturday morning cartoon gone delightfully off the rails.

Psy-Crow’s still chasing you, the queen’s still vain, and Jim’s still the most unlikely hero in the galaxy. The controls take a second to get used to—that stretchy head mechanic isn’t exactly intuitive—but once it clicks, you’ll be flinging yourself through levels with chaotic glee.
