Play Earthworm Jim (Europe) Online

You're a worm in a sci-fi suit blasting through ridiculous levels—jumping on cows, dodging fish, and trying not to laugh when Jim yells. Everything's delightfully gross and just slippery enough to mess you up.

Game Overview

Earthworm Jim came out on the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Shiny Entertainment. It was one of those games that stood out immediately, not just for its weird humor but for how it looked and moved on the system. In an era full of platformers, this one had a style all its own.

You control Jim, an earthworm in a powerful robotic suit, and your goal is to rescue Princess What's-Her-Name from the evil Psy-Crow. The gameplay involves running and jumping through surreal, screen by screen levels, using your plasma blaster to take out enemies. One of the best mechanics is using your own worm body as a whip to swing across gaps or attack foes up close. The pacing is fast, the difficulty is pretty unforgiving, and the level designs are wildly inventive. It feels chaotic and silly, but in a way that makes you want to try just one more time.
