Game Overview

EcoQuest 2 picks up with Adam—now a little older and way cooler because, y’know, he can talk to animals—venturing into a rainforest to find a cure for a mysterious sickness and stop loggers from wrecking the place. The Ecorder is such a neat touch—it’s like a sci-fi scanner that tells you about plants and creatures, which helps because half the puzzles involve figuring out how to use what’s around you without hurting the ecosystem.

It’s tougher than the first game, too. You’ll get stuck at least once trying to balance helping people versus protecting the forest, and some of the moral choices actually sting a little. The story doesn’t just villainize "bad guys"—it makes you think about why people exploit nature in the first place. Also, the parrot sidekick is hilarious, even if he doesn’t always give useful advice.

If you liked the first one, this one’s a deeper, slightly messier (in a good way) sequel. Just save often—those vine puzzles are brutal.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
