Game Overview

Ever played a game where you're part engineer, part time-traveling archaeologist, and all chaos? That's Engineering Jones and the Time Thieves of DSPea—a weirdly wonderful MS-DOS adventure that feels like someone mashed up Indiana Jones with a garage full of spare parts.

You play as Jones, a genius who keeps losing blueprints to these ridiculous time thieves. One minute you're elbow-deep in a malfunctioning steam engine in 1890, the next you're rewiring some alien-looking computer in a neon-lit future. The puzzles are just the right kind of tricky—not so hard you rage-quit, but satisfying when you finally figure out how to MacGyver a solution together.

What really stuck with me was the humor. The villains are these over-the-top goofballs, and Jones’ reactions to everything (usually some variation of “oh no, not again”) had me grinning. The pixel art’s got that chunky, nostalgic charm, and the soundtrack’s full of those bleepy synth tunes that somehow make fixing a broken time machine feel epic.

If you’ve got a soft spot for games where logic meets lunacy, this one’s a blast from the past—literally.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
