Game Overview

England Championship Special is one of those MS-DOS football games that somehow feels better than it has any right to. The graphics are blocky, the animations are basic, and yet—somehow—scoring a goal still makes you jump out of your chair. You’ll spend the first five minutes laughing at how tiny the players look, and the next hour completely absorbed in trying to outmaneuver the janky-but-lovable AI.

Controls are simple enough that you’ll figure them out in seconds (arrow keys to move, one button to pass, another to shoot), but the matches get surprisingly intense. The ball physics are… let’s say "creative," leading to chaotic rebounds and accidental long-range screamers that somehow go in. It’s the kind of game where you’ll shout "That doesn’t count!" at the screen when the CPU scores a ridiculous fluke goal—then immediately rematch to prove you’re better.

If you’ve got a soft spot for retro sports games, this one’s a time capsule worth cracking open. Just don’t blame me when you start craving pixelated halftime oranges.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
