Game Overview

If you've ever wanted to feel the rush of F1 racing crammed into a Game Boy Color cartridge, this is it. *F-1 Racing Championship* nails that perfect balance between arcade speed and just enough realism to keep you strategizing. The top-down view takes some getting used to, but after a few laps, you'll be weaving through traffic like a pro.

What surprised me was how much the car setup actually matters—mess with the downforce or gear ratios before a race, and you'll feel the difference immediately. The AI drivers aren't pushovers either; they'll shove you into the grass if you leave an opening. My first race ended with me spinning out on the last corner, which, honestly, made me want to try again right away.

It's not the prettiest racer out there, but the tracks have this weirdly satisfying flow to them once you learn the curves. Monaco's hairpins are brutal, by the way. You'll either love or hate how punishing it feels to clip a barrier and lose three positions.

If you're into tight, no-frills racing that actually makes you think, this one's a blast from the past worth firing up.
