Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable came out on the PlayStation Portable in 2009, a conversion of the arcade and PlayStation 2 fighting game developed by Eighting and published by Capcom. It arrived late in the PSP's life, offering a portable version of a fighter that let you take characters from the Fate/stay night visual novel into battles on the go.

You control one of many Servants or Masters from the Fate series, engaging in one-on-one fights across various stages. The main objective is to deplete your opponent's health bar before they deplete yours, either in arcade mode, versus, or survival. Key mechanics include a Guard Counter system for punishing aggressive attacks and a powerful Noble Phantasm super move unique to each character, which requires building meter to unleash. The pacing is quick, with a high emphasis on movement and reading your opponent, though the difficulty can spike sharply against certain AI opponents. It feels responsive and satisfying when you successfully land a full combo into a super, especially in ad-hoc multiplayer matches.
