Download Fidelity Chessmaster 2100, The_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
A 1988 Amiga strategy game featuring traditional chess rules, adjustable AI difficulty, optional hints, and turn-based gameplay. Supports quick or extended matches.
Fidelity Chessmaster 2100 on the Amiga was one of those chess games that felt way ahead of its time. The AI actually put up a decent fight—none of that "move a pawn and then blunder its queen" nonsense. I remember booting it up and immediately getting wrecked by the computer’s opening book, which was brutal if you weren’t careful.
The graphics were simple but clean, with those classic Amiga colors making the board pop. You could tweak the difficulty, but even the mid-level settings would punish lazy moves. And yeah, it came on multiple disks, so you’d better hope Disk 1 loaded without a hitch.
Still, if you wanted a no-nonsense chess opponent in the early '90s, this was the one.
