Game Overview

Flight of an Amazon Queen came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series from WarnerActive. It was developed by Interactive Binary Illusions, and it fits right in with the point-and-click adventures of that era, like a slightly goofier cousin to some of the more serious titles. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, which was refreshing at the time.

You play as Joe King, a pilot who crash-lands in the jungle and gets caught up in a wild adventure. The main goal is to escape, but that means solving a lot of puzzles, talking to characters, and exploring screen by screen. You'll use items from your inventory in creative ways, engage in some simple combat, and navigate through jungles, villages, and hidden temples. The pacing is relaxed, letting you think through each situation, though some puzzles can be tricky. It feels like a lighthearted, interactive cartoon that never stops surprising you.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
