I picked up The Flintstones: The Treasure of Sierra Madrock for the Super Nintendo back in 1994. It was developed and published by Taito, one of those mid-tier platformers that came out during the SNES's crowded later years. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it's a solid licensed game that captures the show's prehistoric slapstick vibe pretty well.

You control Fred Flintstone, and sometimes switch to Barney Rubble, as you explore levels screen by screen, clubbing enemies and searching for treasure. The main goal is to gather pieces of a map that lead to the treasure of Sierra Madrock. You'll ride dinosaurs to cross gaps, use a pterodactyl to fly to higher areas, and push boulders to solve simple puzzles. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty can spike in some later stages, especially with the limited continues. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes clunky adventure that relies on charm more than precision.
