Frank Bruno's Boxing came out in 1985 for MS-DOS, developed by Elite Systems Ltd. It was one of those early sports games that tried to capture the feel of boxing on a home computer, with simple graphics and straightforward controls. You control Frank Bruno, moving him around the ring and throwing punches like jabs, hooks, and uppercuts. The main goal is to knock out your opponent or win on points by landing more clean hits. The game uses a side view perspective, and timing is everything; you have to watch for openings and dodge incoming punches. It can be pretty unforgiving if you get too aggressive, and the AI doesn't pull its punches. Playing it feels like a real back-and-forth scrap, even with the basic visuals.
