Game Overview

Frantis: Mission II came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, though I'm not sure who exactly developed or published it. It fits right in with the kind of action platformers that were common on DOS back then, with chunky pixel art and a straightforward, no frills approach to gameplay.

You control a small soldier navigating maze-like levels, shooting robots and dodging enemy fire while hunting for keys to unlock doors. The main goal is simply to survive each stage and reach the exit, but it's tougher than it sounds thanks to limited ammo, tight spaces, and enemies that often ambush you from off screen. You collect credits scattered around to upgrade your weapons between levels, which helps a bit, but the level design stays punishing throughout. Playing Frantis feels like a constant, tense scramble where every small victory matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
