Garfield 2 for the Nintendo DS came out in 2006, published by The Game Factory. It was one of those licensed titles that showed up a lot on the system, aimed at younger players or fans of the comic strip. The game doesn't try to reinvent anything, it just drops you into Garfield's world with some straightforward platforming and puzzles.

You control Garfield through a series of side scrolling levels, mostly moving from left to right. The main goal is to collect items, like pieces of lasagna or alarm clocks, while avoiding obstacles and enemies such as spiders or garden gnomes. A couple of the mechanics involve using Garfield's signature laziness to solve puzzles, like napping on certain spots to trigger switches, and there are mini games where you can interact with other characters, such as Odie. The pacing is slow, the challenge is light, and it feels like a very casual, almost sleepy experience that matches the character's personality perfectly.
