Ghost Manor came out in 1983 for the Atari 2600, published by Xonox. You control a character trying to rescue a friend trapped inside a haunted mansion. The goal is to find a key and a cross, then confront Dracula in the final room. You move screen by screen through the manor, avoiding enemies like the rainbow ghost that throws spears and guards that patrol the halls. Some screens have shifting walls that change the layout, forcing you to time your movements carefully. The pacing is deliberate; you can't rush, or you'll get hit and lose one of your limited lives. It feels tense and methodical, like a cautious walk through a creaky, unpredictable house.
