You pick from three different versions of Gigaman (each with their own weapons and quirks), then blast through waves of enemies that barely give you a second to breathe. The screen’s always flashing with explosions, and the controls are tight enough that when you die, you know it’s your fault.

What I love is how it doesn’t hold your hand—you’ll figure out pretty quick that some bosses are way easier with certain characters, and the game doesn’t care if you learn that the hard way.
