The setup’s classic: Space Godzilla drops a giant meteor on Earth, and now it’s up to you to punch, tail-swipe, and laser-blast your way through armies and other kaiju to stop him.

What’s cool is how the two screens work—flying monsters duke it out on the top screen while ground-pounders tear through cities below. Switching between them mid-fight keeps things chaotic in the best way. Some monsters feel way heavier (looking at you, Godzilla), while others like Mothra are quicker but flimsier. Unlocking the rest of the roster after beating the story gives you a reason to come back, though good luck picking a favorite.
