Game Overview

If you've ever wanted to tap buttons in perfect sync with Hatsune Miku's concerts, Project Diva Extend is basically the PSP's last hurrah for rhythm game perfection. It builds on the same addictive gameplay from Project Diva 2nd, but throws in nine new tracks—some real bangers, too. "Rolling Girl" by wowaka hits different when you're nailing those rapid button combos, and "Nekomimi Switch" is just pure, chaotic fun.

The modules (outfits) and music videos are as flashy as ever, with Miku and the gang dancing through neon-lit dreamscapes. Meiko and Kaito finally get some love in "Tsugai Kogarashi," and Len's "Paradichlorobenzene" is weirdly hypnotic once you get the rhythm down. It's not a massive overhaul, but if you loved the previous games, this one's a no-brainer. Just don't blame me when you start humming "SPiCa" in the shower.
