Game Overview

Hockey League Simulator is one of those old-school MS-DOS games that somehow makes staring at spreadsheets feel intense. You draft players, set lines, and watch your team either dominate or completely flop—no fancy animations, just cold, hard stats deciding your fate. I remember spending way too much time tweaking my fourth-line grinders, convinced they’d be the difference between a championship and utter humiliation.

The AI isn’t exactly smart, but it’s sneaky enough to punish bad strategies. Forget stacking your top line—if your defense is garbage, you’ll get burned. And yeah, the graphics are basically colored ASCII art, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about seeing your little pixelated squad go on a playoff run. Just don’t blame me when you lose three straight overtime games because your goalie’s fatigue stat was in the red.

If you’ve ever yelled at a spreadsheet or argued about faceoff percentages at a bar, this is your kind of nostalgia trip. Fire up DOSBox and see how long it takes before you’re rage-quitting over a botched trade.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
