Game Overview

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Action Game came out in 1989 for MS-DOS, developed by Tiertex and published by U.S. Gold. It was one of many licensed titles from that era, built for the hardware of the time, and it tried to capture the spirit of the film in a side-scrolling adventure format. You control Indiana Jones through a series of levels that loosely follow the movie's plot, from the caves in Utah to the final trials of the Grail temple.

You move Indy screen by screen, using his whip to attack enemies, swing over pits, and occasionally interact with objects in the environment. The main goal is to recover pages of the Grail diary and eventually find the Holy Grail itself, all while navigating traps, fighting Nazis and wildlife, and solving simple environmental puzzles. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with instant death traps and limited continues. It feels like a race against the game's own rough edges, but pushing through to the end brings a real sense of accomplishment.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
