Play Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures (Japan) Online

Whip snakes, dodge boulders, and barely survive the mine cart chase—this SNES game nails Indy's messy adventures with clunky-but-charming 16-bit action. The whip takes practice, but tossing grenades at Nazis never gets old.

Game Overview

Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures on SNES is basically a love letter to the original trilogy—Raiders, Temple of Doom, and Last Crusade—all packed into one chunky 16-bit adventure. You start off in the Raiders levels, swinging your whip at snakes and dodging boulders like you’d expect, but the controls take a second to get used to (that whip has weird timing).

What’s cool is how they mix platforming with little puzzle bits—like figuring out how to grab the idol without setting off traps. The later levels get brutal, especially the mine cart chase in Temple of Doom. Grenades feel overpowered when you finally get them, but good luck conserving ammo. The music nails the movie themes, too, even if the graphics are a bit muddy by SNES standards.

It’s not perfect, but if you grew up with these films, the nostalgia hits hard. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
