Game Overview

Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja is one of those DS games that sneaks up on you—it looks like a cute dungeon crawler at first, but then you realize how deep it gets. You play as Izuna, a loudmouth ninja who’s basically terrible at her job (hence the "unemployed" part), and after getting her whole village cursed, she’s gotta dive into randomly generated dungeons to fix everything.

The combat’s simple but punishing—you’ll get wrecked if you charge in blindly, and losing all your gear when you die is brutal. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about slowly building up your arsenal of weird talismans and cursed swords while Izuna complains about everything. The writing’s got this goofy charm, like a B-tier anime where everyone’s constantly roasting each other.

Fair warning: it’s grindy as hell, and the difficulty spikes will make you scream. But if you like old-school dungeon crawlers with personality, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t blame me when you lose your best sword to a trap for the fifth time.
