I remember playing Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja on the Amiga back in 1991. It was published by Elite Systems, and it fit right in with the colorful, side-scrolling action games of that era. You could play alone or with a friend, which was a nice option for a home computer title at the time.

You control either Joe or Mac, two cavemen armed with clubs and a variety of projectile weapons like boomerangs and fire wheels. Your goal is to rescue a group of kidnapped women from a rival tribe by fighting through jungles, caves, and prehistoric villages. The game progresses screen by screen, with enemies spawning in from both sides, and you can collect food and power-ups to boost your health and weapons. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can get pretty tough, especially in later stages with more aggressive enemies. It feels chaotic and fun, especially in co-op where you can accidentally hit each other while trying to clear the screen.
