Game Overview

Joe & Mac is one of those weirdly charming NES games where you play as two cavemen who somehow became ninjas—don't ask how, just roll with it. You jump between platforms, bonk dinosaurs on the head with clubs, and occasionally rescue cavewomen who cheer you on (it was the '90s, what can I say). The levels are bright and chaotic, with waterfalls, volcanoes, and the occasional T-Rex that really doesn’t appreciate being hit with a boomerang. It’s janky in that classic NES way, but there’s something oddly satisfying about clobbering pterodactyls with a stone wheel.

Also, yes, you can ride a dinosaur at one point. That alone makes it worth at least one playthrough.
