Game Overview

Kirby Super Star Ultra is basically a remastered version of the SNES classic, but with way more polish—and it’s perfect for the DS. You still get all the original modes like Spring Breeze and Dyna Blade, but now there’s extra stuff like Meta Knight’s revenge and a bunch of new mini-games. The graphics got a nice glow-up, and the touch screen actually comes in handy for some of the co-op stuff.

What I love is how it doesn’t just throw you into one long adventure—it’s more like a bunch of bite-sized Kirby experiences. One minute you’re inhaling enemies to steal their powers (Wheel Kirby is still my favorite), the next you’re racing through a mini-game or teaming up with a friend in multiplayer. It’s chaotic in the best way.

If you’ve never played a Kirby game before, this is a great place to start. And if you have? Well, the new content makes it worth revisiting. Either way, it’s pure, colorful fun.
