Game Overview

Phantom Hourglass on the DS is one of those Zelda games that feels like it was made just for the handheld. You’re drawing paths for your boat with the stylus, tapping enemies to swing your sword, and even blowing into the mic to put out torches—it’s weirdly satisfying. The dungeons are full of those "aha!" puzzles where you’re scribbling notes on the map or flipping the DS closed to stamp a clue onto the other screen.

It’s got that classic Zelda charm, but the touch controls give it a different rhythm—you’ll either love it or spend the first hour accidentally rolling off cliffs. (Pro tip: Don’t swipe too fast.) The Temple of the Ocean King can be a bit of a grind, but sneaking past Phantoms with the hourglass timer ticking down? Still tense even years later.
