Game Overview

London Blitz puts you in the boots of a Royal Engineer during WWII, scrambling to defuse unexploded bombs before they level the city. The tension starts the moment you pull up the map—those blinking dots aren’t just markers, they’re live explosives counting down. Green bombs? Manageable—just match the sliders to the switches. Orange ones? Good luck guessing which slider controls what. And blue bombs? Pure chaos, with switches flipping at random while you mash buttons praying for a miracle.

Rank matters here. Start as a lowly lance corporal, sweating over every decision, and claw your way up to captain by defusing bombs cleanly. Screw up, though, and you’ll get demoted faster than you can say "UXB." One wrong move near an active bomb, and—well, let’s just say they don’t hand out medals posthumously. The Atari 2600 version keeps it brutal but simple, while the C64 adds a bit more finesse with dials and switches. Either way, it’s a race against time where London’s skyline depends on your shaky hands.

Promotion to captain means trading bomb disposal for a cushy desk job—if you survive that long.
