London Blitz came out in 1983 for the Atari 2600, published by Avalon Hill. It was one of those games that stood out for trying something different on a console mostly known for arcade-style action. You don't see many bomb disposal simulators from that era.

You control a bomb disposal technician during the Blitz, tasked with defusing bombs before the timer runs out. Each bomb has a set of colored sliders; you match their positions using the joystick to neutralize green bombs, but orange and blue ones behave unpredictably, with switches jumping around as you try to adjust them. The pace is tense, and mistakes cost you rank or end the game. It feels like a high-pressure puzzle where every second counts.
