Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 is one of those DS games that makes you wonder why more puzzle-platformers didn’t use the touch screen like this. You’re basically a tiny Mario wrangler—drawing paths, tapping switches, and nudging your little wind-up toys past obstacles to save Pauline (again). The first few levels trick you into thinking it’s cute and simple, then suddenly you’re staring at conveyor belts and spikes, muttering "wait, how do I even…?"

The Japanese version (MiniMini Daikoushin!) plays the same as the English release, just with menus in Japanese—but honestly, the icons do most of the talking. Some of the later puzzles get downright evil, in that satisfying way where you finally figure it out and feel like a genius for five seconds. If you’ve got a soft spot for Lemmings-style chaos with a Mario twist, this one’s weirdly addictive.
