Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Totsugeki! Mini-Land is one of those DS games that makes you forget you're holding a handheld. You're basically herding these tiny wind-up Marios through obstacle courses—some levels feel like a breeze, others make you sit back and rethink your whole strategy. The touch controls work surprisingly well, letting you tap paths or block off hazards before DK ruins your day.
It’s got that classic Nintendo charm—bright colors, bouncy music, and just enough challenge to keep you tapping the screen without throwing your DS across the room. The later levels get seriously devious, though. I remember one with conveyor belts and spikes that took me way too many tries.
If you like puzzles with a side of nostalgia, this one’s a solid pick.
