MegaMan Star Force 2: Zerker X Saurian came out on the Nintendo DS in 2007, developed by Capcom. It was part of that wave of DS games that really tried to use both screens in interesting ways, fitting right in with an era full of creative, dual-screen adventures.
You control Geo Stelar, a boy who can merge with an alien Wave Being to become MegaMan, and your main goal is to stop a mysterious FM-ian invasion. The gameplay splits between exploring the real world and the Wave World, a digital space you access through your Transer. Combat happens on a 3x3 grid where you slide panels to line up your shots while dodging enemy fire; timing is everything. You collect Battle Cards to build a custom deck for attacks, and the Zerker transformation lets you unleash a powerful, close-range berserker mode for a short time. The pacing is brisk, with some tough boss fights that demand quick reflexes. It feels like a tense, tactical puzzle where every move counts.
