Play MegaMan Star Force - Leo (E) Online

MegaMan Star Force: Leo came out on the Nintendo DS in 2006, developed by Capcom. It was part of that early DS wave where developers were still figuring out the dual screens, but this one used them for a mix of exploration and combat. It felt like a natural step from the Battle Network games, just set in a new world with a different kind of connection.

You control Geo Stelar, a kid who bonds with an alien entity to become MegaMan. The main goal is to explore the Wave World, a digital space overlapping our own, to stop various threats. The gameplay splits between navigating the real world, talking to people, and then jacking in to explore the Wave World screen by screen. Combat is real time; you select attack cards from a custom folder and then execute them in a 3D battlefield, positioning yourself to dodge and line up shots. The Leo version gives you a focus on fire-based attacks. The pacing is brisk, with a good mix of story and action, and the difficulty has some sharp spikes, especially in later boss fights. It feels like a very deliberate, tactical action game where your card choices matter as much as your reflexes.
