Game Overview

Meteor Rescue came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by PLBM Games. It was a straightforward arcade-style game from that era, the kind you'd load up after school when you just wanted something quick and challenging to play for a while.

You pilot a small rescue ship, moving it left and right across the bottom of the screen. Your goal is to save astronauts drifting in space while dodging or shooting the meteors that scroll downward. You use a laser to break apart the larger rocks before they reach you, but it takes multiple hits to destroy them, and the screen gets more crowded as you progress. The game starts slow but quickly becomes frantic, demanding sharp reflexes and careful positioning. It feels tense and satisfying when you clear a path and snag a rescue just in time.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
