Game Overview

Okay, so Michael Jackson Moonwalker on MS-DOS is this weird, wonderful mess where you basically play as MJ rescuing kids (who all look like Katie from the movie) from random thugs. You’ll kick doors open hoping to find a kid, but half the time it’s just some goon waiting to punch you. The dancing mechanics are surprisingly detailed—hold the kick button while moving backward, and yeah, he moonwalks. Classic.

Your health bar doubles as a magic meter, and spinning makes you invincible… but drains energy. Hold it long enough, though, and MJ whips his hat like a boomerang that clears whole screens. Sometimes the game just cuts to a full dance sequence ripped straight from his music videos, which is equal parts ridiculous and amazing. Oh, and occasionally you turn into a cyborg or a spaceship? Look, it makes zero sense, but the sprite work nails his moves, and the soundtrack’s full of bangers. The final boss is a first-person spaceship duel, because of course it is.

It’s janky, it’s surreal, and somehow it totally works.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
