Game Overview

Michael Jordan in Flight came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, a time when sports games were still figuring out how to translate real athleticism into pixels and polygons. It was a strange, ambitious little title that tried to capture the spectacle of Jordan's dunks more than simulate a full basketball game, and it definitely stood out from the more straightforward sports titles of the era.

You control a low-polygon Michael Jordan on a single floating court, with the main goal being to perform a series of increasingly difficult dunks. The gameplay is simple but demanding; you time your jumps, adjust your approach, and try to execute moves that match the on-screen prompts. Between attempts, the game cuts to grainy, low-resolution live-action footage of Jordan himself, which gives the whole experience a disjointed, almost dreamlike quality. It's not a long game, but nailing the timing on the trickier dunks requires real patience. Playing it feels like interacting with a digitized highlight reel that's both awkward and completely absorbing.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
