Mighty Bombjack came out in 1986 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Tecmo. It was one of those early platformers that felt right at home on a PC, a time when games were often built around a single, clever idea and didn't need much more than that to hold your attention.

You control Bombjack, a little guy in a red suit who can jump surprisingly high and float a bit, moving screen by screen to collect bombs and coins while avoiding enemies. The main goal is to gather all the bombs in a stage to open the exit, but the real hook is the treasure chests that appear; cracking them open gives you temporary powers like turning enemies into coins, moving faster, or freezing time. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming and a timer always counting down, making every screen a tense scramble. It feels like a chaotic, high-stakes treasure hunt where one wrong move can undo your progress in an instant.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
