Play Mortal Kombat II (Europe) Online

Pick your fighter, freeze someone solid with Sub-Zero, then shatter them—just hope your buddy doesn’t block in time. The SNES version dialed back the blood, but those fatalities still felt vicious when you nailed the awkward button combos.

Game Overview

Mortal Kombat II on SNES is where the series really hit its stride—way smoother than the first one, with way more characters to pick from. I always ended up playing as Sub-Zero because freezing people and shattering them never got old, but the new additions like Baraka and Kung Lao made fights way more unpredictable.

The fatalities got even more ridiculous too (in the best way). Remember when you had to hold down and mash buttons at just the right distance? Half the fun was trying to pull them off before your friend figured out how to block. The SNES version obviously toned down the blood a little, but it still felt brutal compared to most fighters at the time.

If you played this back in the day, you probably still have the combo inputs burned into your memory.
