Murders in Space came out in 1990, published by Infogrames for MS-DOS. It was one of those early sci-fi adventure games that tried to do something different with the limited tech of the time, focusing on atmosphere and deduction rather than action. You wake up on a spaceship with a fresh corpse, digging through vents and sweating as shady crewmates give you half-truths over that eerie 90s synth soundtrack.

You play as a detective trying to solve a series of murders aboard a spaceship. The main objective is to identify the killer before they strike again, or before you become the next victim. You explore the ship screen by screen, talking to crew members, collecting items, and piecing together clues from dialogue and environmental details. The pacing is tense; you never know when a new murder might occur, and the game doesn’t hold your hand. It feels like a race against an unseen clock, and every conversation carries weight because you’re never sure who to trust. Playing it is a mix of paranoia and satisfaction when you finally connect the dots.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
